Essential Oils:

While LAB GRL 3 we occasionally incorporate essential oils for their powerful therapeutic properties. Essential oils not only add natural fragrance to our products but also provide additional skin benefits like soothing inflammation, promoting relaxation, or offering antibacterial properties. Each essential oil is carefully chosen to enhance the effectiveness of our base ingredients while staying true to our minimalist ethos.

Herbs, Dried Fruits, and Teas: Nature’s Extra Boost

At LAB GRL 3, we sometimes infuse our products with herbs, dried fruits, and teas to elevate their nourishing properties. These natural ingredients are packed with antioxidants, vitamins, and minerals that help rejuvenate the skin, soothe irritation, and provide gentle exfoliation. Whether it’s calming chamomile, revitalizing green tea, or antioxidant-rich dried fruits, these additions bring nature’s finest elements into your skincare routine, enhancing both the effectiveness and sensory experience of our products.

The Role of sweet little Lye

At LAB GRL 3, we prioritize natural ingredients, but when it comes to soap making, lye (sodium hydroxide) plays an essential role. While lye starts off as a chemical, it is critical to the soap-making process through a reaction called saponification.

During saponification, the lye reacts with fats or oils, transforming them into soap and glycerin. By the end of this process, no lye remains in the final product—it has completely dissipated. What’s left is a safe, effective, and gentle soap that cleanses while nourishing the skin.

Without lye, it’s impossible to create real soap. Many soap makers use pre-made soap bases to avoid using lye directly, but at LAB GRL 3, we prefer to create our soaps from scratch. This ensures we have full control over the ingredients, maintaining our commitment to natural, clean formulations. So, while lye is necessary, rest assured that it is fully transformed in the process, leaving behind only pure, skin-loving soap.
